What Does an End-of-Life Practitioner Do?

When you serve and support someone through their end-of-life journey — the most precious transition there is — you undergo an undeniable transformation.

Whether you’re a medical professional, therapist, or other practitioner who wants to serve clients more holistically, or you were there at the moment of a loved one’s death… you’ve witnessed an essential piece of life’s great mystery.

Now you can share this gift and step into your next

evolution as you impact the end-of-life journey for others — integrating your Soul’s journey with your life’s work.

Our unique, holistic End-of-Life Practitioner (ELP) Training is designed to equip and empower you to support your clients in the death and dying process, in all dimensions — physical, psycho-social, and spiritual dimensions.

You’ll come away with the knowledge and skills to support those who are dying, as well as the families and friends that surround them — and you’ll have the foundation in place to continue your training

Empowered by this foundational training, you can choose to continue on to become certified by The HeartWay as an End-of-Life Practitioner in our End-of-Life Practitioner Death Doula Training Program, which includes a supervised internship.

Our immersive, depth-training program encompasses every facet of the ELP’s role exploring this work through a multidisciplinary lens — from historical to mythological to therapeutic — so you’ll understand every facet of this deeply meaningful work, including how to advocate for your clients while navigating end-of-life medical communities.

Sadly, many Death Doula/ELP education programs are little more than weekend workshops that fall very short of properly training and preparing practitioners for this beautifully complex work.

Because we know that the work of an ELP is much more than just an occupation, the very best, multifaceted training is absolutely essential. In many ways, it’s a pivotal moment for those who feel called to this work. ELPs are on the cusp of formal accreditation, with a similar trajectory to chiropractors and acupuncturists.
